Garden Amethyst

Garden Amethyst is the common trade name for an amethyst and epidote combination. 

This particular piece is a cluster of quartz crystals with a couple small dots of epidote. All of the points in the cluster are lilac in color with many hematite inclusions in the tips, some forming a phantom appearance.  The focal crystal on the top is clear quartz, and does have a conchoidal fracture on one side near the base, but doesn't detract from the overall appearance. Nestled next to this focal crystal are two additional crystals, one of them double terminated. It is a stunning piece and would be a wonderful addition to any mineral or crystal collection. 

It measures approximately 2.25 in. x 1.77 in. x 1.35 in. and weighs approximately 3.5 oz.
